One of five male cheerleaders who debuted for WWE in 2006 as part of the Spirit Squad, Mikey soon found himself winning the WWE World Tag Team Championship just two months after his debut by unseating the physically towering duo of Kane and the Big Show the day after WrestleMania. The Spirit Squad would soon be recruited by Mr. McMahon in his war with Degeneration X. In the course of this feud the Squad would main event the July 2006 Vengence Pay Per View as well as an episode of Saturday Night's Main Event on NBC. However when the Squad (and the McMahons) lost their feud with DX the Squad were soon sent packing from WWE television.
Mikey came to AWESOME in 2008 to challenge the Guitar Heroes (at the time an undefeated trio of crowd favorites here in AWESOME). With his experience in five man teams he wanted a 10 man tag, while the Guitar Heroes wanted to stick with their specialty of a six-man tag. Commisioner Joe Rules made a compromise ruling and ordered an 8-man tag for a Night of Legends and Champions. The Guitar Heroes selected Hector Queso (whom they had recently wrestled against just two weeks earlier), while Mikey chose the team of Playboy Vik Voorhees, Rick Cataldo and Mike Matixx while his fifth member Brian Harley stood guard at ringside. Mikey's experience in these types of matches then led his Squad of rulebreakers to victory.
