Young Mike Matixx was learning the ropes and working security for AWESOME during its first year when he suddenly rushed the ring during the entrance of then MySpace champion Radical Robby Morrison. Declaring Morrison his favorite wrestler his impromptu sucking up led Taylor Nicole to ask "can we keep him" and after Morrison noted "Well we are in the market for minion" he was initiated into the Commune.
Matixx soon found himself in extended feud with fellow Toms River teen Mark Modest throughout 2007 and 08. In addition to his Commune duties, Matixx also had the opportunity to team with former WWE Tag Team Champion Spirit Squad Mikey at a Night of Legends and Champions; and once made in to the final two in a Top 8 Battle Royal.
