TNA Wrestling Star "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal was one of wrestling's most popular stars when he debuted in AWESOME for a dream match against former WWE/ECW Superstar Colin Delaney in the main event of 2008's Summer Heat.
A New Jersey native, Lethal is the youngest wrestler to ever sign a contract with TNA. Early in his TNA career Lethal was mentored by Sting and in challenging for the NWA TNA title against Jeff Jarrett in a nationally televised match. He subsequently fell under the guidance of Kevin Nash and reinvented himself as the colorful Black Machismo. At the time of his AWESOME debut Lethal was a 3 time TNA X-Division Champion and had a scored a Pay Per View victory over Kurt Angle. He has since gone on to hold the TNA tag titles as well alongside Consequences Creed.
